    General

    • uncommon, 30-60 year old
    • conjunctival prolapse, hyperemia of cul de sac conjuctiva
    • may restrict motility

    Imaging

    • well defined with contrast CT

    Pathology

    • encapsulated, hypervascular and hypercellular

    Surgery

    • looks blue at surgery
    • must be completely excised because it  can recur and be malignant
    • benign-appearing lesions may become cancerous, recur and metastasize, while histologically "malignant" lesions may remain localized
